It is made from local sugarcane molasses, fermented and then distilled in two stages (vacuum distillation then normal pressure) to preserve and develop the aromas. This rum is aged in American bourbon barrels for approximately 5 months, which gives it a higher aromatic complexity than a white rum while remaining fresh and expressive. On tasting, Taragawa Bourbon Cask reveals a fresh and fruity nose, with tropical notes (banana, passion fruit) complemented by sweet aromas of vanilla and light spices from the wood aging. The palate is balanced and gourmet, combining sweetness, tropical fruits and subtle spices, with a persistent finish marked by touches of white pepper and woody warmth.
